BUILDING, GROUNDS AND CEMETERY COMMITTEE
April 13, 2009
The regular meeting of the Building, Grounds and Cemetery Committee was called to order by Chairperson Peggy Boeck, on March 9, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Boeck, Virginia Detra, Bob Atkinson, and Kenneth Frydenlund. Absent was: John Grochola. Also present: Lonnie Gill.
Proof of posting was verified.
MINUTES: Motion by Detra, seconded by Frydenlund, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as printed. Carried.
REVIEW VILLAGE HALL ROOF REPAIR PROPOSALS: The committee had some concerns with regard to the bid proposal from Stone Mill Construction and is having Gill check on some items they would like changed/clarified with the amount not to exceed $20,823.
PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE DOORS UPDATE: Runaas had the middle garage door springs replaced at a cost of $495 and an opener installed at a cost of $800. There was a mention that any items costing above $500 are to come before the committee before the purchase takes place; therefore, the next time someone approves a purchase above the allotted amount, the one who made the approval for purchase will pay the difference out of pocket.
BIG PINE TREE AND BUSHES AT CEMETERY: Gill will remove the bush and talk with Sutherland about what to replace it with. Motion by Atkinson, seconded by Frydenlund, to remove and replace bush at cemetery. Carried.
ANNOUNCEMENT AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: The water cooler at the Village Hall will be discussed at a future meeting.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Atkinson, seconded by Frydenlund, to adjourn the meeting. Carried.
