POLICE, FIRE AND LICENSE COMMITTEE
April 27, 2010
The regular meeting of the Police, Fire and License Committee was called to order by John Briggs, Chairperson, at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall at 206 N. Water St., Albany, WI. Members present were: Briggs, Peggy Boeck, Virginia Detra, Steve Hubert, Danny Mueller X-O and Robert Levitt X¬-O. Absent was: Gary Kranig. Also present: Larry Hanson and Justin Mueller.
Proof of posting was verified.
MINUTES: Motion by Boeck, seconded by Hubert, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as printed. Carried.
PUBLIC APPEARANCES: None.
FIRE CHIEF CONCERNS: Fire Chief Mueller brought up some concerns he had with regard to members going on runs after they have been drinking. Mueller would like the support in enforcing a no-alcohol program in the fire station.
POLICE CHIEF CONCERNS: None.
OPERATOR’S LICENSES: None.
COMMUNITY SERVICE WORKERS: This item was discussed and the program will continue.
FIRE INSPECTOR DUTIES: Fire Inspector Justin Mueller came to talk about people and businesses not taking care of their fire violations. He would like some direction on following up with violators.
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Fire Inspector Justin Mueller will bring back more information on fire violations and who will be responsible to follow up on them.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Hubert, seconded by Boeck, to adjourn the meeting. Carried.
