BUILDING, GROUNDS AND CEMETERY COMMITTEE
May 12, 2010
The regular meeting of the Building, Grounds and Cemetery Committee was called to order by Chairperson Peggy Boeck, on May 12, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Boeck, Virginia Detra, John Grochola, Bob Atkinson, and Kenneth Frydenlund. Also present: Jon Runaas.
Proof of posting was verified.
MINUTES: Motion by Grochola, seconded by Frydenlund, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as printed. Carried.
TRUGREEN PROPOSAL/TENT WORMS: Motion by Frydenlund, seconded by Grochola, to spray all trees at the cemetery twice not to exceed $400.00. Carried.
WATER COOLER AT VILLAGE: Motion by Grochola, seconded by Atkinson, to check into a new compressor and if that isn’t the issue then to purchase a new cooler not to exceed $600.00. Carried.
ROD SUTHERLAND AND COMMUNITY SERVICE WORKERS: Nothing discussed.
VILLAGE HALL ROOF: Motion by Grochola, seconded by Frydenlund, to contact Steve Mill regarding the previous proposal and if the bid is the same, the contract will be signed at the next board meeting of June 14, 2010. Carried.
ANNOUNCEMENT AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Grochola brought in pictures of the cemetery entrances and was wondering about something the committee can do to make them more attractive.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Frydenlund, seconded by Atkinson, to adjourn the meeting. Carried.
