STREET AND UTILITY COMMITTEE
May 3, 2010
The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order by Chairperson Rodney Sutherland at 6:30 p.m. at the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Sutherland, John Grochola, Wayne Stemple, Eileen Althaus, Jim Mauerman, Larry Hanson, Ex-Officio, and Jon Runaas, Ex-Officio. Also present: Lonnie Gill.
Proof of posting was verified.
MINUTES: Motion by Stemple, seconded by Grochola, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as printed. Carried.
UPDATE OF CMAR: Runaas gave an update on the CMAR and stated that we had received seven A’s, one B, and one C. Committee recommended forwarding to full board for approval as per DNR requirements.
PAPERWORK FOR 2010 STREET WORK STATUS: Runaas gave an update on the status of the 2010 street work. Runaas will get a cost for replacing a pipe on Summit Street 2 feet out of manhole #76. Currently awaiting bids on the Summit Street project. This item was tabled until June.
SLURRY SEAL PAPERWORK UPDATE: Received one bid from Struck & Irwin in the amount of $11,799.00. The ball park parking lot bid came in at $6,047.50. This item was tabled until June.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Dan Blumer would like to attend a water works class on June 10 in Watertown at a cost of $35.00. This item will be sent to the Board Meeting in May.
Lonnie Gill to attend a class on June 17 at a cost of $85.00 for six credits. This item will be added to the June meeting agenda.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Stemple, seconded by Grochola, to adjourn. Carried.
