Building Permit

New Structure

1. Single Family Residential: Flat fee of $400.00; 
2. Two or More Family Residential: Flat fee of $300.00 plus $100.00 per unit for as many units as are in the residence;
3. Commercial: Flat fee of $400.00 plus $100.00 per unit for as many separate units as will be in the structure;
4. Industrial: Flat fee of $100.00, plan review and all inspections must be State approved with proof shown to the Building Inspector or his designee;
5. Agricultural: Same as Residential.

Additions/Remodeling/Alterations/Minor Repairs/Furnace Replacement and Accessory Structures and Uses

1. Base permit fee is $20.00;
2. Alterations, repairs, and additions: Base Permit fee plus $25.00 per inspection.  Inspections to include:  Foundation; Structural; Plumbing; Electrical; and HVAC -- not to exceed five inspections. 
3. Replacement/Repair plumbing, electric, and HVAC: $25.00 per inspection as needed;
4. Siding Removal and Replacement: Base Permit fee with no inspections.  Permit must be purchased before removal of old siding begins.
5. Decks/Patios/Cement Slabs/Sidewalks (excluding sidewalks in public right of way)/Fencing/Storage Buildings (over 150 square feet in size are secured)/Window Replacement (with no structural changes): will require a building permit with the Base Fee, but will not require inspections.  Any repairs or new sidewalks in Public Right of Way will need prior approval of the Public Works superintendent.
6. Re-roofing of existing structures with  no structural changes or storage buildings less than 150 square feet in size that can be moved to not require a permit;
7. Early Start: A fee of $25.00 will be charged for an Early Start for the footings and foundations only.
