2011 Summer Rec Information
Little League: Little League games will be held on Thursday nights from June 16 through August 4 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Albany Village Ball Park.
- June 23: Picture night, pictures forms will be handed out at the games on June 17.
- July 21: No games due to the Green County Fair.
- August 11: Picnic night starting at 6:00 p.m. with trophies being handed out to all players following the picnic.
- Schedule
T-Ball: Children going into FIVE year old Kindegarten and First Grade in the fall of 2011 will play every Tuesday morning from June 28 through August 2 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Albany Village Park. Please bring a ball glove with your name on it. For families that cannot attend during the day, they can cheer on their T-Ball atheletes at a night game played on Monday, August 8 at 6:00 p.m. There is a $10 fee per child to participate. Hope to see you there!!
Swim Trips: Swim Trips to area pools will be every Wednesday from June 29 through August 10. We will go to the Monticello Pool on June 29, July 6, 13, and 27. (NO SWIM trip on July 20 due to the Green County Fair.) We will go to the New Glarus Pool on August 3 and 10. The bus will leave the Albany Village Park at 12:30 p.m. and return around 4:45 p.m. The cost is $4 for Albany Village residents and $5 for out-of-town residents, which includes swimming and the bus ride. Kids entering 1st grade and up are welcome to come!
Noah's Ark Trip: On Monday, June 27, the Summer Rec Program will sponsor a bus to Noah's Ark in the Wisconsin Dells. The cost for children and adults is $25 each for Albany Village Residents and $28 for out-of-town residents, which includes admission and the bus ride. You may also want to bring money for food, drinks, and souvenirs, or you may pack your own lunch. Please make sure someone in your group is wearing a watch to keep track of time! The bus will leave at 7:15 a.m. SHARP from the Albany Village Park and will return around 8:00 p.m. Registration and payment is due at the Albany Village Hall by June 17. Sign up early - seats fill up fast! A rain date will be determined if needed.
Fiesta Day: On Monday, July 11, there will be a Spanish-themed fiesta party at the Village Park for kids entering 5K through 4th grade from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Bring a friend and come enjoy the fiesta!!!
Tubing on the River: On Monday, July 18, we will be tubing down the sugar river. Please have your kids meet at S&B Tubing at 12:45 p.m. Due to liability issues, only kids age 12 and older are able to participate. The cost will be $12 per person for the tube and bus ride back to town from the pickup point. Hope to see you there!
Campfire/Game Day: On Monday, July 25, we will be having a campfire at the Village Park, complete with s'mores and hot dogs! There will be games and prizes for all who particpate. The action will begin at 1:00 p.m. for ages 5K and up and is free, so grab a friend and lets have some fun!!
Craft Day: Please join us for craft day on Monday, August 1, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Village Park. The activity is for kids entering 5K through 4th grade and is free, so come show your artistic side!!
